OK so I just finished Vol. 11. It really feels like the end of the story. Anyone reading this series? Do I need to continue?

I have never read the series but me and my little brother have been talking about buying it and see what its all about. How are the first 11 volumes to the book, should I get it?

I liked it a lot. Some have been so crazy as to compare it to masterpieces like Sandman. It's not THAT good, but it's a really good series in its own right. I would give it a solid recommendation to read it. If you're going to get the series might I suggest you start with the deluxe editions. I don't know if you're familiar with that format, but I've been buying Y the Last Man in deluxe edition and it's really the best format. The pages are bigger, better paper quality, and you get two trades in one hardcover edition. Here's a link to vol. 1 on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Fables-Deluxe-Book-Bill-Willingham/dp/140122427X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1281357679&sr=8-1

Also, don't take my questioning whether I should continue with the series as an indictment of the series to this point. The thing is at the end of this trade it's really a culmination of all the story that has come before and it really seems like it might be where the author's story ends and DC's corporate greed to keep a wildly popular series alive takes over. I hope I'm wrong, but it really feels that way to me before stepping over the threshold.
