| Well the Great Stupid face man, turned me on to Trade paperbacks and Hard covers. I will start the thread off with the fact that I went to the library the other day with my son and I picked up Fables Vol 1 and 2 as well as Hellboy: Darkness Calls. Which is supposedly what the second movie is about, I suppose. Just read both Fables and really liked them and getting ready to start Hellboy.
I have a huge list of Trades I am looking to get at the con, any other suggestions for good reads?

| After reading th first Fables trade I lucked out and got the run from 1-75. Still need to catch up but I love the stories. I enjoy reading trades but I enjoy single issues much more. | |

| I haven't grabbed anything since the big Christmas haul, but then it was all about Invincible and The Walking Dead. Looking for something to sink my teeth into now, though. Looked at Fables but couldn't decide. I prefer something that I can in TPB form that stands on it's own. I may go back and check out Fables again. | |

| Batman: The Long Halloween (Since you like Punisher I'm sure you'll like this.) All the Green Lanterns since Rebirth (Don't want to be left behind in Blackest Night) Kingdom Come (Cliche, but essential) The Boys (I'm sure you already know about this.) Walking Dead (Again I'm sure you already know about this.) Invincible (Mike mentioned this and I second it.) Any JSA Project Superpower
Shit there's a bunch more, but any of those will work in the short run. Just don't get anything Marvel and you'll probably be OK.

Fables is pretty cool. I have to do a lot of catching up but the early stuff was really good.

| It's a cool and different concept. Read the second one and you'll never look at the 3 little pigs in the same light ever again lol | |
