I have no frame of reference to comment on the con since I didn't really see anything outside of my table. The programs weren't worth the paper they were printed on, though, cause they still had my table listed as Mike Allred's. Oh, well. Made a shitload of money. You guys rock for letting me milk your money teats that much.

Overall, I enjoyed the con. Yeah there where some BIG omissions (No Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, and a WEAK Wizard booth). The small crowd allowed me to run around and pick up a lot of sketches from some good names and talk to a lot of other artist. The small crowd also let the girlfriend enjoy it. She's not a big fan of large crowds (No NYCC for her). Made off with a big haul from some dealers.

No Mike, you don't sound like a stalker. She said you were very nice and liked your work. Gald you made out well at the con. I tried to send some people your way when it came up. Hope to see you in NY someday.

I could not believe how small the floor and artist alley was. The crowd was so little that I was able to get all of my books signed except for Walt Simonson (who did not show up until 5:30 on Saturday night). I find it hard to believe that they are already advertising for next year and for also the fact that Spat told myself and IM that advance ticket sales were up from the last three years. Where were these people then?

That being said, if the show happens, I do have a feeling that it might be better and if it is, I will be going. I have been going every day for the past eight years and I don't know if I want that part of what I do to stop. Now if the show is canceled, then I have no choice.

Yep, hitting BCC. May have to break ranks and hit BAC, though. I'll be freelancing then and need all the commission work I can get.
