Wizard World Philadelphia 2009

Ok, I can officially say WWP is desperate. They listed on the main page, the tool that has the Lazerman book there. He was in the hotel pool last year, talking to my friends and I about how great his book is and my friend fell for it and bought it. It was the biggest piece of shit that I have ever seen

Wow, I really don't know what to say about Wizard's theory that they do not need Marvel or DC. That does not make sense and shows you that they are really losing it. Do you think it might be the case that Marvel and DC don't need Wizard anymore?

lazerman is the worst comic i have ever read but then again i didnt get past the 2nd page.

Although they can add whoever they want and put more names in the hat it isn't going to save the fact that there is no Marvel or DC. But they did extend the hours on Friday and Saturday by an hour, so instead of closing at 6 now, they are closing at 7.

This was from 20 Questions with Dan Didio over at Newsarma. Rath, I hope you can ask Spat about this and to see the real reason why DC is not coming because I read this and see that somebody (most likely Wizard is full of shit):

DD: Extensive as always. We’re really excited about the season this year. By the time we get to San Diego, Blackest Night will be up and running, and both before and after that, we’ll be sending people to as many conventions as we possibly can, and working pretty much with the same schedule that we have in the past.

We’re trying to maximize our editorial appearances and get to as many shows as possible, and more importantly, we’re interested in hearing what the fans have to say. I just got back from Bristol – I hadn’t been there for four years, and I’m sorry it took me so long to get back, but they had probably one of the best group of fan questions and interaction that I’ve had in quite a while at a convention. It was clear that everyone was on board, is reading along, and is really interested in the stories. It was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to get started on the circuit of US shows as well

Maybe a limited Crossed issue since Ennis is the GoH... I know Wizard doesn't really have control over this and I just want to see the comic companies step up and give us something nice...

Also now that I am think of it... this explains why the incentive comic is a Dynamite Comic and not Marvel this year.

Avatar has been doing exclusive covers for each show they've attended this yr. Probably safe to assume there will be a new Crossed cover.

I had a feeling back in the day that something was wrong also when the incentive book was from Dynamite and not Marvel. Which is kinda funny since I do not see Dynamite on the list yet either.

I still find it hard to believe there will be no Marvel or DC panels. I so wanted my Cup O Joe and I was looking forward to a Blackest Night panel.

About Crossed, how fucked up and wonderful is that book. I know back in the day Jacen Burrows was supposed to be going as well, I still hope he is. I asked him on Facebook but never heard back from him yet

An exclusive Crossed book would kick ass. Spidey "fucked up and wonderful" is the perfect way to discribe Crossed.

Crossed is what Walking Dead should be. Not that I don't love WD because I do, Crossed just seems more real.

Guys go to the page for Philly and look at the tickets. It sales all tickets are now being dealth with through ticketleap.com... no tickets will be mailed. So what about those of us who have already bought tickets?

those guys have been pushing that book for the last two years, I know of at least since they have been at WWP and they are still only on issue 4
