Wizard World Philadelphia 2009

I was going to post something about this but didn't get a chance too... I love how Spat is still trying to play off of this when it isn't true. This is what got Spidey and I banned. I believe they are trying to use this just to try and bring more people to the con.

Wait, I'm totally out of the loop on a lot of things, but what caused you to get banned? You were banned? Who banned you? Who there still has that power?

I got banned for 200 days for being the first to blow the whistle that DC was not coming. I asked Spat about Marvel and got no response, I said this whole thing is riduclous and the later in the day I got banned.

Then about a day or two later, some newbie asked Spat above Marvel being there and he actually responded to him and told him no.

I never got any responses from Spat, so Digsy I have to ask you if you know this Spat and is he really the douche he seems to be?

Digsy, I think I'm the only person here who HASN'T been banned! LOL!!!

Digsy if you go deeper in the thread you will see why I don't care for Spat... We were extending the same amount of help we were to you and Adam and he pretty much shit down my throat, pretty much saying let me do my job and you don't worry about it.

Digsy, did you know Spat and is he as big as a douche as he seems?

But yeah, myself, IM, Goldbricker, and Stupidfaceman all got banned

well goldbricker and me started the charge. we are not liked at that office.

Sure you guys can say you started it but at least you were given probation and then banned... Me and Spidey were straight Banned... who's more bad ass now... what!?!?!

I didn't get banned..not yet...but I'm going to try to avoid the convention board over there. It's dead over there. I hink people are just pissed off.

they serve it on the carts outside in the hallways and you bring it in... they don't serve it on the floor. Donny aka invisiblekingmob bought a couple for Ennis and Dillon last year... which is what I am doing this year ;-) and I will be your beer bitch for ya Mike... when I walk buy if you are empty holler at me!!

Yeah, but I was put on probation and then banned for doing nothing. My last post was asking one of the shoeshiners on the board whether or not he was going to Philly because I'd like to meet him.

Maybe instead of WWP Funeral shirts we should all wear Banned WUMBer shirts.

Wow. So not only are they not showing up in Philly, which is only like two hours from their offices. They are going to Charlotte which is HOURS away. Unbelievable. It's like they're going out of their way to fuck Wizard. I guess I would applaud them if it weren't simultaneously fucking me.

So it is too expensive to drive to Philly from NY but not to NC? Wizard staff are idiots if they believe this. DC got fucked from WW and now they are returning the favor. They also know this con is shit. I wonder what this will do for their relationship and when will we see a DC character on a Wizard cover again?

Shouldn't they get these company's first? They should have gotten them to commit a long time ago. Maybe they were a little to cocky and thought that since they are "Wizard" that everyone would run to them. Seems like everyone is running away.

I never met Spat, but I have gone to the National and Big Apple Con shows. They are...um...they get decent talent but the sticky and sweaty smell of sadness just lingers there amidst all the bargain bin porn and old TV Guides. It's weird.

And I guess you guys have figured this out, but the higher ups at DC hate Wizard.

Yes please elaborate about DC hating Wizard. My guess is because Wizard has such a boner for Marvel.

Nope, I actually don't know why. From what I always understood it was a hatred left over from years and years ago. I can say that under the (good) regime I was under, Joe always bent over backwards to really make DC happy (and Marvel too) and to improve those relationships and it was working. The Shamus' said in meetings earlier this year after Joe was let go that they didn't need Marvel and DC to be at the shows. They said that.

Those are true statements without much more info. Don't want to seem like a bitter nellie or anything.

They don't need Marvel or DC? That is so insane I don't know how to reply to it.

That's like a car show without BMW, Daimler, Ferrari, or any other major auto dealer.
